10 Most Common Issues Faced With Bosses. Emotional Atyachaar Bosses!

Not all bosses are bad. They give back what they get (top down) as they themselves are unable to absorb pressure. However , some are intrinsically sadist!….they cross their limits. This article is about these ‘abnormal,eccentric’ species.

We will refer to them as ‘EA-B’ for sake of brevity – ‘EMOTIONAL ATYACHAAR BOSSES’

1.EA-B call early morning, as soon as they get into their car and will keep talking business; mainly numbers ;  till they reach office!

Some one please tell him!….even we have to get ready and reach office..’as of now’ we do not possess magical powers – no one will dress us up and make us reach the office without us moving!

2. EA-B will send out schedules of meetings/reviews at frequent intervals – asking for data which they themselves will provide!

if we get occupied in making presentations , my dear BOSS , sorry! EA-B, ; who the hell will be out in the field to sell?!

3. EA-B will , FOR SURE, make the required slides difficult ; all full of graphs etc

EA-B ….your job is to make the life of your sales team easy so that they can sell with least pressure internally! if the sales team keeps running after data ; which is sitting pretty in your laptop! , who will work?

4. No two thoughts! EA-B will have their favorites, their blue-eyed boys. EA-B will discuss everything with this ‘coterie’

EA-B , you @#!$%! have others also  in your team who have a decent IQ (you only hired them!) and what they say need not be approved by your ‘baraati’s – i.e the coterie’! ; you should be enough i.e if you are capable!

5. God! if the EA-B’s  boss asks him for a review

‘sabki lag gayee'; the entire sales team gets down to making slides for their boss…work can go to hell! After all EA-B has to impress and ensure his ‘a!@#  licking’ of his own boss does’nt waste!

6. In reviews with their own seniors , these EA-B’s hide the flaws of their coterie and MAKE SURE the others (who are slogging their asses!) are jacked, by unduly highlighting their performance ; without providing logical reasons! (after all EA-B also needs scapegoats for his overall performance! in case of a deficit)

7. In an offsite meet, they will shake hands and be ‘pally’ ONLY with the ones who are contributing maximum to their own growth!

rest of the team are asses meant only to work hard. Even if they miss the dinner or entertainment – the EA-B is cool ; as long as the contributors are having a good time

8. EA-B decides dates for all reviews/meetings etc basis his ‘personal’ calendar

ASSUMPTION : team is a robot! Their genuine needs can go for a toss! the team’s needs are sacrificed at the altar of the EA-B’s personal requirements!

9. These EA-B have a crazy habit of planning impromptu dinners after a long day’s review and expect all to join (some members would have flown at odd hours ; catching flight even without sleeping ;irrespective)

CONDITIONS – Venue will be close to EA-B’s house! and everyone needs to DRINK! ( if BEER & VODKA would help achieve targets , I would be pour it in everything I drink and cook my food in it! and would sit in a Barrel daily! before a bath. Needless to say- would condition my har with Beer!) . EA-B’s will try to project their ‘coolness’ by saying late- talking to their ‘coterie’ – ofcourse! you forgot? his house is the closest!

10. They are master’s in sycophancy – look at them talk to their senior’s. I thought we enjoyed licking ice-creams only! But lots to learn here 😉

I end by writing, not all Bosses are these EA-B types. I have worked with a few good ones but the EA-B type viral has spread like ebola! I wish we all get Bosses who live and let live!
