It may all be in the good interest of the masses but in India, is it even right to follow this trend (again in the good spirit to help people) without even giving the thought? Ice bucket challenge has no doubt helped raise millions of dollars for the research of cure for Lou Gherig’s disease, but in a country like India where clean water is in such shortage that people have to walk miles just for a bucket full, is it even worth it? There can be many other ways to raise charity after all. Why follow blindly?
Besides, it’s not just about Ice Bucket Challenge and the people who waste water in its name. It is about all those people who do not understand the importance of this elixir. Wasting it is just not excusable in any way.
