Charity begins at home. A proverb widely heard. But guess we should rephrase it to Charity begins with the Rich!
Its strange how we think thousand times before helping a genuinely needy person and are all out to help a person who may not be in real and urgent need of help!! Is it because we are expecting something in return? We behave exactly the way the Banks do….they give loans to those who don’t need them; because the ones who genuinely need the loans do not meet the Banks ‘eligibility’ criteria!
Time to genuinely help the genuinely needy irrespective of their ‘clothes’ or ‘position’ in society. They need us. (have’nt you heard..money attracts money?!) The ‘needy’ rich will always attract help but the ‘needy’ poor will keep asking, pleading for favors.
All I can say is … if you are doing a good deed , do it with your heart and for the right people. Do not expect anything in return.
